After checking out the polling place, the dentist filled a tooth. Then we stopped by the DMV, where I successfully got my learner's permit.
Fast forward several hours and a Chinese restaurant later, I came home with another Family of Freaks figure from Sam Goody, and The Curse and Dark Knight from Wal Mart.
